The extension never stores or receives your password directly; it communicates using a securely encrypted single-purpose API token that you can revoke at any time.

The extension only utilizes the `activeTab` permission, which means it has zero capability to monitor your browsing behavior or collect web data until you explicitly click the extension popup or context menu to shorten a link or generate a QR code for your active page.
When you trigger the extension, it only captures the active page URL or the specific text and QR configuration you select. All generated links and extension preferences are stored locally in your browser. The extension only transmits the selected target URL, custom domain choice, and optional tracking tags to our secure servers to perform the link shortening or QR code creation. We never collect, track, or store your wider browsing history, search terms, or keystrokes.
Yes! If you have configured branded custom domains or custom subdomains inside your JMPY dashboard, they automatically sync and populate in the link-type dropdown of the extension popup, allowing you to choose how your link is branded on the fly.
